The Department of Economics at the Turkish-German University successfully concluded the “Economics Conference 2024”, an event noted for its broad participation and rich content. The conference addressed numerous important current and historical topics in the field of economics. Presentations on contemporary issues such as sustainability, bioeconomy, and inflation drew significant attention, along with discussions on the social status of women in the Ottoman Empire. Also Professor Ufuk Akçiğit from the University of Chicago gave a presentation on "From Competition to Prosperity: Rethinking Productivity Growth in Germany. "
